Ohio and Michigan Attorney &
Lawyer Legal Services, providing
professional, aggressive, and reliable legal
advice and representation.
The
founder of the firm and Managing Partner, Stephen A.
Skiver, M.D., J.D. began his professional life
engaged in the practice of Internal and Critical
Care medicine for nearly 16 years. He returned to
law school in 1985 while still practicing medicine,
securing his Juris Doctorate in 1988 and
subsequently became licensed to practice law in Ohio
and Michigan.
Since that time he has been involved in a wide
variety of legal areas. Obviously, due to his
medical background, his practice has included
actively and aggressively defending hospitals,
clinics and hundreds of healthcare providers. Over
his career he has defended nearly one thousand
medical malpractice actions. He has eighteen years
of litigation experience in both state and federal
courts and has tried cases ranging in severity from
simple to devastating, including defending brain
damaged baby cases, cardiovascular, orthopedic,
neurosurgical and death cases to name but a few. He
has brought his medical experience to other areas of
practice including personal injury, general
litigation and trucking & transportation defense.
His medical background is an asset to analyzing and
understanding the injuries at issue in a matter,
including the severity and prognosis of any claimed
trauma.
Dr. Skiver has tried cases throughout Ohio,
Michigan, and West Virginia. Rated an AV lawyer with
Martindale-Hubbell and named to Who’s Who in
American Law, he has been invited to speak at legal
and medical seminars throughout the country on a
variety of legal topics, and has taught law to
medical students and physicians in training.
In September of
2010, Stephen Skiver, M.D., J.D. was inducted as a
Fellow of the American College of Trial
Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations
in America.
The induction
ceremony at which Dr. Skiver became a Fellow took
place before an audience of approximately 1,078

the College in Washington, District of Columbia.
Founded in 1950,

United States and Canada, including active Fellows,
